Obituary for Emily Mae Hinkle

Emily Mae Hinkle 94 of Pine Valley Community Village passed away peacefully on November 22, 2018. She was born on July 25, 1924 in Richland County Wisconsin. Emily grew up on a small dairy farm in Akan township. She loved gardening, canning, cooking, babysitting, outside chores, and just almost anything she could handle. She loved life and had an adventurous sense of humor!

Emily from the late 60s' became the main caregiver of her mother who began to endure health issues until grandma’s death in the early 70s. She was also a babysitter for her two nieces and one nephew. Emily was a lot of fun and knew how to apply correction when necessary. Our parents never had to worry if correction was applied, it always was.

Later in life after our grandfather and she relocated to Richland Hills Apts. Emily had housekeeping jobs in the area and helped folks in the apt. complex. Later in life Emily was foster grandparent for 2 years at Noah’s Ark Pre School [ St. Johns Lutheran] church here in Richland Center.

Emily had a strong, rock solid faith in her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She was a strong woman and trusted in her Lord. This held her when life’s moments were good, and when storms would come as well. She tried to encourage others to have strong faith and take refuge therein.

Emily was preceded in death by her parents: Clifford Henry Hinkle, and Mary [Bolint] Hinkle and several other aunts, uncles, and cousins.

She is survived by one sister Violet Mary Hinkle [Turner] of Harvest Guest Home, Richland Center, Wisconsin, and several cousins also.

Two nieces and one nephew: Sandra Turner of Richland Center Wisconsin, Rhonda [James] Gainor of rural Richland Center Wisconsin, David [Sue] Turner of New Glarus Wisconsin, great niece Amanda Johnson Haugen [Greg] and their son a great-great nephew Bentley of Eau Claire Wisconsin.

Two great nephews Nicholas and Christopher Sugden of rural Richland Center Wisconsin.

A step-great nephew Justin [Marie] Schroeder and their son a step-Great, great nephew David of Sun Prairie, Wisconsin.
