Carol MacLeod Harris

Carol MacLeod Harris, age 80, of rural Soldiers Grove, died on Wednesday, July 4, 2012 at HospiceCare in Fitchburg. She was born in Richland County on December 25, 1931, the daughter of Winnie (Spencer) and Leo Burkheimer. Carol married Bun Harris on July 23, 1977. She enjoyed fishing and going to a few casinos. Most of all, she enjoyed her family. She always liked telling others that she raised 10 kids. She was an adult foster care provider for many years. Her husband Bun died on the same day, July 4, 2012. She will be greatly missed by all her family and friends.

Survivors include her 10 children:

Bun and Carol entered eternity together on July 4, 2012.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, July 7, 2012 at the PRATT MEMORIAL CHAPEL. Burial will be in the Felton Cemetery. Friends may call at the PRATT MEMORIAL CHAPEL on Saturday morning from 9:00 AM until service time at 11:00 AM. The family suggests memorials be made to Alzheimer’s Association or to Hospice in Carol’s memory. The Pratt Funeral and Cremation Service is serving the Harris family.

Carol’s family extends grateful thanks to Don and Marilyn Anderson Hospice Center.
